Some toys get played with for a few weeks. Others somehow stick around for years.
For us, hopper toys are definitely in the second category.
Wolf has had two — a fox and a rabbit — and at nearly five they STILL get played with. Ours live in the garden now, but over the years they’ve been bounced around pretty much every room in our house!
So when I discovered Find That Hippo, their gorgeous bouncing animals were an easy yes for Mucky Wolf.

Find That Hippo hoppers are bouncy animal toys designed for toddlers aged 2+.
Little ones sit on top, hold onto the ears and use their legs to bounce around. It sounds incredibly simple — because it is — but that’s exactly why I like them.
Rather than pressing a button and watching a toy do something, children are actually moving, balancing and making the play happen themselves.
They’re brilliant for encouraging active play and helping develop balance, coordination and gross motor skills — without it ever feeling like a “learning” activity.

The perfect toy for burning off some energy
If you have a toddler, you'll know there are days when they seem to have an absolutely endless supply of energy.
That’s where these come into their own.
Find That Hippo hoppers can be used indoors or outdoors, so they’re brilliant for rainy days stuck inside and just as good bounced around the garden when the sun comes out.
Ours started off as indoor toys and eventually migrated outside as Wolf got older.
And yes — at nearly five, he still uses them.
For me, that's a huge selling point. I’d always rather buy something that has the potential to last for years than something that's exciting for a fortnight and then forgotten about.
Which Find That Hippo hopper should I choose?
This is probably going to come down to which animal your little one loves most!

My personal favourites have to be the fox and rabbit — but I'm probably biased because those are the two Wolf has!

Are hopper toys worth it?
For us, absolutely.
They’re one of those deceptively simple toys that little ones just get.
No batteries. No flashing lights. No complicated instructions.
Sit on. Hold on. Bounce.
They encourage little ones to move, burn off some energy and play independently — and they look pretty cute sitting in your home too.
If you're looking for a birthday or Christmas gift for a 2, 3 or 4-year-old, particularly one who never seems to stop moving, I'd happily recommend one.
And having owned two ourselves for years, this is very much one of those Mucky Wolf recommendations that comes from experience.
